~ Last year's Schedule of Events ~

Thursday, August 10th

  • Arrivals
Plan to arrive Thursday at anytime. There are usually reasonable fares into Reno and an easy shuttle via South Tahoe Express. Sacramento airport also has inexpensive fares but there is no shuttle.
  • 7pm Welcome Reception Party 2099 Marshall Trail
A great time to meet the other guests and prepare yourself for the next few days. Cocktails and John's chili will be served.

Friday, August 11th

  • 6:30 am - 11 am: Golf at Lake Tahoe Golf Course

18 holes on the beautiful Lake Tahoe Golf Course. Includes cart, range balls, and reservation fee.
    Cost: $74.00 ($10.00 off)
  • 1pm: Off-Road Four Wheelin' on the Barney Trail
By request, this year we are taking on the Barney Trail. This 2 day adventure has everything an off-road trip could provide. We enter via Monitor Pass and drive through the back country of the Sierra Nevada mountains 10 miles to the East Fork of the Carson River. The Aspens will be in full bloom and the trail is not for the City SUVs. From there we drive through the river (literally) to set up camp in Cottonwood Canyon. The greatest experience is the stone hot tub fed by natural hot springs that over flows into the river forming an "infinity spa". There is good stream fishing and a great swimming hole. The guns and shot guns will be ready for target and skeet shooting.

Cost: Chip in for gas and bring a case of beer per day. Meals will be provided.

Saturday, August 12th

  • Fishing in the morning
There is decent fishing and we practice catch & release. Spin or fly is fine.
  • Skeet Shooting in the afternoon
Try your hand at skeet and target shooting with 2 shot guns and a .22 caliber rifle.
  • Noon: Head back to civilization (or we may stick around for another night)
  • 7pm: Steak dinner at Johnny's (depending on where we are)
  • 10pm Gambling & Drinking (depending on where we are)

Sunday, August 6th

  • Late Morning - Cruise the Lake to Zephyr Cove
We take the boats out on the lake to relax and vow never to return again.
  • Departures
I strongly suggest you do not book an early flight on Sunday morning as you may not be home from the casinos yet. Flights after 6pm is most conducive to the condition of your body at that time.
